As Key Account Manager, you will have the opportunity to manage and develop key accounts for Panasonic Australia, driving results. You will demonstrate your analytical skills to review sales and market data to identify opportunities as well as risks to build business case recommendations that influence market performance. Be the owner of your channels inventory forecasting to ensure supply meets the retail demand. Communicate the business plan to the field sales team to maximize revenue and profit potential. Utilize your strong influencing and stakeholder management skills as the lead negotiator to gain the best outcome for your customer group.
The key responsibilities we would trust you with:
- You will own and build a strong relationship with your key customers including all communication, planning, administration and execution to deliver results within your retail accounts.
- You will ensure that sales and marketing plans align with the Panasonic corporate direction delivering growth in strategic categories. Collaborating and communicating internally to develop plans that drive the results and successful execution down to store level.
- Actively seek out and understand competitor activity and market dynamics to ensure Panasonic remains relevant and on course to deliver sales revenue, profit and market share KPI’s.
- You will conduct regular, scheduled business meetings with your customers providing a full overview on but not limited to sales, volume, forecast, marketing investment and promotional objectives.
- Ownership of administrative tasks including price list management, rebate system management, credit claim reconciliation, reconciliation of accruals where required and business cases preparation for investment with your key customers.
- Proactively identify opportunities, issues and upcoming challenges through data analysis of multiple business inputs.
The areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most to the role:
- Key Account Management experience in Consumer Goods, FMCG, or Consumer Electronics.
- Degree in commerce or related field preferred.
- Proven negotiation and senior relationship management skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Experience in inventory forecasting and sell-through analysis.
- Ambitious, analytical, and collaborative mindset to drive results.
- Ability to build trust, good working relationships and communicate effectively.
