As Technical Support Manager, you’ll be the go-to expert for Panasonic’s Professional & Broadcast Video products. You’ll provide both pre-sales and post-sales technical support, partner with the sales and marketing teams to deliver winning solutions, and ensure customers and channel partners get the highest standard of service. This is a hands-on role that blends technical expertise, solution building, and customer-facing problem solving.
The key responsibilities we would trust you with:
- Contribute to the team’s sales performance by providing end-to-end technical support and solutions to the ProAV team, channel partners and customers, supporting the achievement of sales KPI’s.
- Provide solution evaluations, demos, and technical training to both internal sales, external customers and channel partners.
- Support the new product introduction process, evaluate add-on products, modifications, upgrades, and special projects.
- As necessary, assess and analyse products, parts and components from the field to research the root cause of failures. Report on the results, develop, propose, and implement field service solutions as applicable.
- Resolve urgent customer issues & repairs. Where required provide onsite troubleshooting, testing, installation and configuration of equipment.
- Provide technical support on issues from call centres and authorised repair centres and resolve or escalate through support channels for resolution where required.
- Ensure the delivery of the highest standard of customer service, by supporting our ASC’s (authorised service centres) with technical training, new product introductions, knowledge around critical parts and service requirements.
- Designing and executing technical aspects of trade shows and local events.
The areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most to the role:
- Business-to-business technical support experience in Broadcast, Professional Video, or Live Events
- Strong knowledge of baseband and IP video technologies, formats, and workflows
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage complex customer issues
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative ‘team’ environment, participating to the greater good of the company
- Valid Australian Drivers License & Passport required
- Role includes occasional domestic and international travel
