Job Description

We’re seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to grow Panasonic’s presence within the residential builder market across Victoria and Tasmania. In this role, you’ll build strong relationships with builders, contractors, and key industry stakeholders to drive awareness, specification, and long‑term adoption of Panasonic HVAC solutions.

You’ll identify and convert new business opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and execute national and state‑based agreements to strengthen our position as the preferred HVAC brand in the residential builder segment. Working collaboratively with national teams, you’ll support contract negotiations, manage a contractor portfolio, and drive sustained sales growth across VIC/TAS.

 

The key responsibilities we would trust you with:

  • Drive awareness and adoption of Panasonic HVAC products across the VIC/TAS residential builder market.
  • Build, develop and maintain strong relationships with builders, contractors and key industry stakeholders.
  • Identify, target and convert new business opportunities into long‑term partnerships.
  • Collaborate closely with national HVAC group members and internal sales teams to support sales growth.
  • Execute and manage national and state-level builder agreements, including pricing and commercial terms.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of contractor accounts to increase specification, loyalty and revenue.
  • Strengthen Panasonic’s position as the preferred HVAC brand within the residential builder segment.
  • Support additional duties and project work as required by the company.

 

The areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most to the role:

  • Formal qualification in Sales or Account Management (preferred).
  • Strong background in B2B sales and account management, ideally within technical products or HVAC.
  • Proven ability to implement sales strategies, manage accounts, and deliver profitable revenue growth.
  • Advanced computer skills across Outlook, Excel, BI tools, ERP and CRM systems.
  • Excellent communication, relationship‑building, problem‑solving and time‑management skills.
  • High personal drive, integrity, attention to detail and a collaborative, team‑focused approach.
